A very rare brockage mint error
Lot 2038
Mark Antony, 44-30 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.70 g, 11 h), brockage mint error, military mint moving with Mark Antony (Patrae?), 32-31. Incuse of reverse. Rev. LEG - XVI Aquila between two signa. Cf. Babelon (Antonia) 126, Crawford 544/31, CRI 372, and Sydenham 1236. Some weakness and light marks and with a banker's mark on the reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From the collection of Roman Imperatorial coins of Martinus J. L. Janssen, ex Tauler & Fau 65, 6 October 2020, 1367 and Naville 58, 14 June 2020, 466.

Although Mark Antony's legionary denarii were often struck carelessly, brockage mint errors are very rare - especially ones as well-centered as this.
